When people are talking about the Ford Mustang, isn’t it always the V-8 GT that gets all the glory? Most people forget about the Ford Mustang GT’s little sister. The V6 Ford Mustang is no joke. Equipped with a slick six-speed manual transmission that puts out 305 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque.
This is impressive for the 3.7 V6 Ford Mustang…providing the average car owner with a sense of thrill, but when it comes to the car scene, the old saying goes “How can I get more out of my car”? Well you came to the right spot as we have just want you are looking for.
If you’re a car-enthusiast, you’ll want to increase your 2011 Mustang horsepower. Really who wouldn’t?!
The all new built for performance and show, the K&N 69-3529TP Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit the 2011 – 2014 Ford Mustang V6. The Air Intake System tubes have a high quality finish that is made to last. By replacing the stock restrictive air intake and air box, this application will dramatically reduce intake restriction resulting in additional power and torque.
The average car enthusiast can expect an average increase of 11 horsepower. This air intake system is backed by K&N’s Million Mile Limited Warranty allowing the car owner to rest knowing that their product is meant for the highest quality.
Some key points of the K&N 69-3529TP Air Intake System are:
- Estimated horsepower gain of 11.79 HP at 5900 RPM
- Designed to improve throttle response and engine sound
- Low restriction aluminum tube
- Replaces stock air intake system
- Lasts up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions)
Don’t take our word for it, Here is what a customer had to say:
“After doing hours of research on CAI systems I decided to purchase the 69 series Typhoon CAI for my 2012 Mustang, V6, 3.7L. The product receives great review on the internet and through Youtube, I purchased through another online site ad received a slightly better deal than ordering it directly from K&N.
The good and bad about this product is as follows: first off all the parts arrive in the box, and everything seemed in good shape. K&N states this should take about 40 minutes to install, on Youtube they say about 90 minutes, and that is exactly what it took me. I would of finished sooner (and here’s the bad), but some of the holes do not line up and require some effort to make it work.
I used a small rat tail file to expand the hole. What I’m talking about is the housing and the air filter (Doughnut) adapter – the holes (one hole) is off by maybe a 16th of an inch. Next the housing did not fit flush inside my car, every time I pushed it into place the air intake would pop out of the Ford air intake (The piece that goes into the front for air intake).
After tinkering for some time I finally got the part to an Acceptable place and bolted it in place. All other parts fit as advertised. Just so every one knows I am not a mechanic and have very little experience working under the hood, but I’m above average when it comes to putting things together.” – James Cassidy, Louisiana
